The battery wasn’t its best anymore, I did have a battery service message and sometimes the macbook would go off around 35. The macbook won’t turn on and the indication light on the charger stays off. Lately I aquired myself a new original magsafe charger 2(85 watt) but sadly this did not help. The electrical transformer is enclosed in a white polycarbonate block with a removable " duckhead" AC connector that can be swapped for a Power Adapter Extension Cable or another connector from a World Travel Adapter Kit. The LED light will appear in an amber color to indicate that the device is charging, while a green color will indicate that the battery has been fully charged. I still don't understand why higher chargers - particularly those by Apple - would not be able to emulate the 20W charger 15W capabilities for Magsafe charging (under 'ideal' conditions).The MagSafe 2 Power Adapter features a thinner and wider magnetic DC connector than previous MagSafe devices to accommodate thinner designs. So no, a 60W adapter wont overheat when connected to a machine that needs an 85W adapter. This is a given for the systems to receive safety certifications. It also generates more heat, which then kicks in the throttling, thus making the device not reach 15W charging at all times, only at peak, perfect temperature conditions. MagSafe, using the Apple-branded 20W USB-C adapter, will reach 15W, but this is slower than the maximum wattage when plugging a Lightning cable directly into the phone. The new MacBook Pros both support faster charging with the 96-watt and 140-watt adapter for the first time, charging up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. All MagSafe adapters, when plugged into a mechanically matching receptacle on a MacBook/MacBook Pro, are designed to run safely. MagSafe, using the Apple-branded 20W USB-C adapter, will reach 15W, but this is slower than the maximum wattage when plugging a Lightning cable directly into the phone. Fast-charge is using a USB-C to Lightning cable plugged directly into the phone using an Apple 20W adapter or any USB-C adapter that shipped with a MacBook. In Apple terms, Fast-charge and MagSafe are two completely different things. The 'or higher' would indicate the their 30W, 61W or 96W would be just as capable.
